Ethnic Studies teachers: what is a must-read for your students?

Ethnic Studies in California and Washington are now part of the K-12, and in the case of California, all high school students will be required to take the course in order to graduate effective 2030. The CA model curriculum is published here: https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/cr/cf/esmc.asp. But as part of the longstanding work that Ethnic Studies educators have done in the meantime is develop their own materials and choose helpful texts to drive their students to the learning goals of Ethnic Studies.
